Bookli presents daily challenges where players reconstruct missing words from classic novel excerpts. Each puzzle features authentic passages with key words removed for you to guess.
How to Play Bookli
Puzzle Setup
- Each game shows a literary excerpt with blank spaces
- Every blank represents one missing word from the original text
- Passages are sourced from Project Gutenberg's collection
Guessing Mechanics
- Type your word suggestions using keyboard or on-screen keys
- You get 12 attempts to guess each hidden word
- Game continues until you either:
- Successfully guess all words, or
- Fail to guess any single word
Feedback System
- Correct letters in right position: Green highlight
- Correct letters in wrong position: Yellow highlight
- Incorrect letters: No color change
Navigation Controls
Move between words using:
- Tab/Shift-Tab keys
- Arrow keys (left/right)
- Direct clicking on words
- Words can be solved in any order
Special Notes
- Some words may use older spellings
- All guesses are accepted (real words or not)
- No penalty for incorrect attempts
